Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
